Privacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026. What we collect, why, who helps us run Much Entrusted, and what you can ask us to do.
The Short Version
- We collect what you type in, what's needed to run the service, and which pages of the app you use and for how long. Nothing else.
- We don't show ads, sell your information, or use tracking tools from other companies.
- Your church's data belongs to your church. You can export it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Who We Are
Much Entrusted is a budgeting and event-planning tool for churches, at muchentrusted.com. It is run by its founder, Tommy Adams, and will soon be run by Much Entrusted LLC. “We” and “us” in this policy mean Much Entrusted. Questions about privacy go to hello@muchentrusted.com.
What We Collect
- When you join the wait-list or ask a question: your name, email address, church, role, and anything you write to us.
- When you create an account: your email address and a password, plus a display name if you add one. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read them, including us. We also record which version of these terms you agreed to, and when.
- What your church puts in its workspace: the church's name and fiscal year, its ministries and account codes, budgets, events with their plans and notes, the names of people registered for events and what they've paid, transactions you import (date, amount, account code, and description), funds, projects, approvals, the history of changes, and feedback you send from inside the app.
- When you use the app: which pages you open, when, and how long you use each one. Time counts only while the page is in front of you and you've used it in the last couple of minutes, so a tab left open isn't counted. We record the kind of page, like “an event's Roster tab,” never which event, fund, or project. We don't record what you type or what you click. We also keep how far you've got through Next Steps, even if you start over. This is only inside the app, never on the website, and it began on October 15, 2026.
- When anyone visits: our hosting provider keeps short-term server logs of each request, such as the IP address, the browser, the page, and the time. They're used to keep the service running and secure.
- When you unsubscribe from our emails: your email address, when you unsubscribed, and how (the link in our email, your mail app's Unsubscribe button, or by writing to us). We keep it so we never email you again by mistake.
What We Don't Do
- We don't use advertising, analytics, session-recording, or social media tracking tools, or chat widgets from other companies. The record of which pages you use is our own, kept in our own database. Nothing records what you type or where you click.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, or share it for advertising.
- We don't use what's in your workspace to train AI.
How We Use It
- To run the service: sign you in, save and show your church's work, and send the emails the service needs, such as confirming your email address, resetting a password, or confirming a wait-list request.
- To answer you when you write to us or send feedback.
- To see how the app is used during the beta, such as which pages people spend time on and where they stop, so we can fix what's confusing. Only we look at it, and it's never shared or sold.
- To keep the service safe and working: finding and fixing errors, and preventing abuse.
- If you joined the wait-list, to tell you about Much Entrusted. Every one of those emails has a link to stop them.
Information About Other People
Your church may enter information about people who don't use Much Entrusted, such as the names of people registered for an event, including children, or names that appear in transaction descriptions. The church decides what to enter and is responsible for having the right to enter it. We use it only to provide the service to that church. If you're one of those people, please contact the church. We'll help them with any request.
Who Helps Us Run It
These companies provide parts of the service. They handle information only to do that work for us.
- Supabase: the database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the website and app, and the short-term server logs.
- Resend: sending email.
- Cloudflare: the domain name, and forwarding email sent to @muchentrusted.com addresses.
We'll also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Much Entrusted's work moves to a new company, such as Much Entrusted LLC, your information moves with it and stays under this policy.
Cookies and “Do Not Track”
We use one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. The app also remembers display choices, like light or dark mode, in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and the record of which pages you use doesn't use a cookie of its own. We don't track you across other websites, so a browser's “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to turn off.
How Long We Keep It
- Workspace data: for as long as the workspace exists. When it's deleted, it's removed from the service right away and from our providers' backups within 30 days.
- Event version history: the latest 20 versions of each event, for up to 30 days.
- Wait-list requests and questions: until you ask us to remove them, or they're no longer needed.
- Which pages you use, and your Next Steps progress: for as long as your account exists. Starting over doesn't clear them. Deleting your account does.
- Server logs: days, not months.
- Unsubscribe requests: for as long as we need them to keep from emailing you. If you resubscribe, the request is removed.
Much Entrusted is in a closed beta. When the beta ends, we'll clear every beta workspace and the data in it. We'll tell you ahead of time so you can export anything you want to keep.
Your Choices
- See it and take it with you: budgets, reports, and rosters export to CSV, Excel, or PDF from inside the app.
- Correct it: edit it in the app, or write to us.
- Delete it: “Delete your account” in Settings removes your sign-in, your church's workspace and everything in it, and the record of how you've used the app, straight away. “Start over” clears the workspace but keeps your account. You can also email hello@muchentrusted.com from the address you sign in with, and we'll do it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
- Stop our emails: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails, or your mail app's own Unsubscribe button. The same link lets you resubscribe. Or write to us.
None of this costs anything. Depending on where you live, your state's law may give you other rights. Write to us and we'll honor them.
Security
The database itself keeps each church's workspace separate, and automated tests check that no church can see another's data. Everything travels over an encrypted connection, and our database provider encrypts stored data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Much Entrusted is for adults who handle church money. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. Rosters may list young people entered by church staff, as described above. If you believe a child has given us information directly, write to us and we'll delete it.
Where It's Stored
In the United States. If you use Much Entrusted from another country, your information is transferred to and stored in the US.
Changes to This Policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. The Terms of Service cover the rest of our agreement with you.
